(our story)
Yoga has been in and out of my life since I was a kid. I'm of Indian descent, so it was always around, but it was only when I moved to Bali, where I lived for two years, that I started taking it seriously.
I needed it more than ever when things became unsettled in the Middle East, where I'm based. I wanted something that helped me find peace in being okay with the not okay. So I did my yoga teacher training.
My partner practises too. He loves traditional Indian yoga; I'm very much a power vinyasa girl. For two people who are always on the go, it became our meditation. We started bringing friends to classes one by one, and once I'd qualified, I began teaching them, for fun and for free.
They brought their friends. With run clubs everywhere, we thought there was room for a club that moves at a slower, calmer pace. And we didn't want it to stop at yoga: we host supper clubs, social events and community gatherings, and our community nominates what we gather around next.
Melt is just a space. If you need somewhere to be, flow and melt, come say hi.
